Sign up in person at the club on the list on the bulletin board. Sign ups are first come, first served and we will limit entries to an even number of teams. Overflow will be designated as alternates, encouraged to show up at the club in case of no-shows, and will be given the option to pay if they're asked to play.

Format:
Four-bowl Aussie Pairs
4 8-end games

Length of Games:
When the 2nd to last game finishes, the last game will be permitted to throw one additional jack only.

Trial Ends:
Two bowls in each direction before the first match of the day and if you change greens.

Restriction of movement of players:
1st Bowler: May not visit the head, may not hang back after 2nd bowl
2nd Bowler: May visit the head after the 2nd & 3rd bowls, may not hang back after 4th bowl
1st Bowler:  May hang back after 4th bowl of 2nd Bowler, may visit the head after 1st bowl

enalty will be 1 point awarded to the opposing team, added to their score at the end of the game. Disputes will be adjudicated by the Tournament Director, other designated authority or Umpire if one is available.

Re-spotting (Burnt End):
In the event of a burnt end, the jack will be re-spotted on the 2-meter mark on the centerline

Substitutions:
Substitutes must be identified and approved by the Tournament Director before the start of any game. In the event of an unexpected injury or illness, the Tournament Director may approve a substitute that was not announced before the start of a game. No substitute may play in the position of skip.

Scoring:
(1) Three points for a win, one for a tie
(2) Award 3 points for a game win; 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss
(3) 7 plus/minus points maximum in each game

A bye, if necessary, is a game won, and the team will receive an average winning score for that round.

Determination of Winners:
Team with highest total of game points wins

Tiebreaker:
If two or more teams have the same number of game points after all games have been played, the following tiebreaker system will be used:
  1. Head to Head (Only in the event that no more than 2 teams tie for a share of a position (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) and they have played one another during the day’s play with the match score not resulting in a Tie). If three (3) or more teams tie for a position, Head to Head will not be used.
  2. Total plus points (maximum of 7 per match played)
  3. Fewest opponents’ points allowed
  4. Most ends won
  5. One-end roll-off

Prizes: (Based on the max number of participants 48), obviously less if we have fewer participants.

2nd place: $120
3rd place: $ 80
4th place: $ 40

Dispute/emergency committee:
Tournament Director - Andrew Dufresne or Randy Hatfield.

Late arrivals:
A penalty of one point and one end played will be assessed for each ten minutes after the official start time. A late arrival of 30 minutes or more will result in forfeiture of that game. This rule may be waived in extenuating circumstances.

Smoking/drinking policy:
There is no smoking allowed anywhere at the facility.
